The Mushroom Project

Hello everyone and welcome once again to Awesomeness Inbound for the first time since i switched the day from Wednesday to Friday as I anounced on Twitter, @StevenTheBeast9. Today I have another fantastic and flavorful dinner for you, very quick and easy and can be prepared in 15 minutes. I will do it in the same format as I did last week with the Stuffed Bell Peppers as a step by step instruction. Ladies and gentlemen, I present too you my.....

Portobello Burgers

1: Chooseing ingredents

For my version of this dish I used tomatoes, lettuce, the mushrooms, and any condiments you would like. We had mustard and burger sauce on ours. Other good ideas might be onions, mayo, pickles, cheese, and I did think about putting a regular beef burger patty on but it was not in the cards this time.

2: Cooking the Portobello's

First brush them under side of them with olive oil and place them in a frying pan or on a grill at medium to high heat. Add salt and pepper, cover them or close the lid of the BBQ, and cook for 5-8 minutes. When they are done they will soften up and become very tender.

Also, don't be afraid to use your spice rack for this dish. You can choose whatever your taste buds desire but for these ones I choose a cheese chive and bacon flavoring and i sprinkled it on with the salt and pepper.

Why wasn't the Portobello invited to the party??
Because there wasn't muchroom!!

This is what they will look like when they are finished cooking.

3: Making the burger

On the top bun put your condiments with your lettuce and tomato and on the bottom place your Portobello and any other toppings or garnishes you wish too put on it. bring the 2 bun together and enjoy.  Me and my family found it very delicious and flavorful. I hope you and yours do too.

Thanks for reading yet another one of these long and boring blogs but if you actually did like it you can, and you are in couraged to share this with your friends on Facebook and twitter. I am always open to ideas on what else to blog about so if you have any ideas i would love to hear them. Until next friday boys and girls, KidAndTheBlog, out
