My not so secret addiction.

Hello my friends, yes it is that time of the week again and KidAndTheBlog is back with yet another post on yet again Wednesday morning.  Today to keep up with the the posts about my life I am going to tell you all about my not so secret addiction, video games. What games I currently enjoy, ones I used to enjoy, what systems I have, and what systems are no longer with us.

My First Game

Ah yes, the first game that lead to what has be come my life long passion. Most peoples might think a Mario Bro's or Pokemon or Crash Bandicoot, while I did play those as a tyke I think the game that started it all... The game that had me and my brother running home everyday to play was... NASCAR 2000 on the PS1.

We would play that non stop, as Jeff Gordon or Terry Labonte or the late great Dale Earnhardt on tracks like Daytona, North Carolina, and Bristol. It was a fun game and seeing how far games have come in the last decade or 2 is amazing, but maybe that's just me growing up in this generation.

Out With The Old, In With The New

The day would come however, when me and my brother would come home and the old boy wouldn't work as good as he used too. And what a sad day that was. We managed to make it work until Christmas 2005 the year when our parents got us the new PS2 slim!! We were so happy and immediately started playing the games that came with it, NHL 06 and NASCAR 06, Total team control. How I remember all the games is even surprising to me, but none the less our PS2 lasted a very long time and we played many different games on it. Such a big upgrade from the PS1 in many different ways.

But as things get older, newer stuff come out to replace it all with new upgrades of its own and a few years later, I want to say 2010... we got our current Console, The PS3!! On it I've played games like NHL, NASCAR, Saints Row, Grand Turismo, Skyrim, Rachet and Clank, Call of Duty and just last week I got the game that has been topping charts and made $80 million in the first week, Grand Theft Auto V.

My brother, who is in collage right now in Oakville, just read that and probably wants to race down here right now and play it. Patience is a virtue my friend.

                                                                          Other Games

Now I did play other games not on the play station. I also had and still do have an Nintendo64 with a bunch of games. Me and my brother had every Gameboy growing up and we admittedly played a lot of Pokemon games on them. I play some computer games too, mostly Minecraft but also Don't Starve and some other Steam games. I love playing Minecraft on the computer especially and play it almost everyday on different Servers or LAN worlds.

And there you have it, my childhood. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you have tweet it out to all your followers or share it on Facebook. Also Leave a comment on what your favorite game was as a kid or what your favorite game is now. I look forward to reading them, unless you comment Candy Crsuh Saga. Until next time, KidAndTheBlog, out.
